Summer tours
As a Tyrolean mountain hiking guide, I am authorized to lead you on mountain trails where there is no risk of falling - this includes mountain trails with a difficulty level of red (signpost) or T3 (online route planner e.g. bergfex.at and komoot.de).
Definition: Moderately difficult mountain trails (red, T3) are predominantly narrow and often steep and can be exposed in places (ÖAV/DAV: can have passages that pose a risk of falling). Short walking passages secured with wire ropes or unsecured sections for which the use of hands to support balance is advantageous can be included.
Dogs and other pets are generally not allowed to take part in my tours (to protect peace and quiet and wild and alpine animals, out of consideration for other participants with regard to allergies, fears, etc. and to protect the dog from overheating, overexertion, etc.).
A maximum of 8 participants can take part in a tour - more on request for easy hikes.
For tours with more than 8 people, a second mountain guide can be included.
Conservation awareness and respect for nature are the basis for taking part in a guided tour!

2-DAYS-BIVOUAK TOUR ...
The good ones always have them with them - but the good ones usually never need them - the bivouac equipment. As we all know, only an emergency bivouac is permitted in Tyrol - planned bivouacing is rightly punished properly to protect nature.
So that the stuff doesn't lie around, someone spreads it out here and there in the garden in order to find stars in vain amidst the urban noise and the panoramic view of the neighbor's house. The other person (like me) has scruples about unpacking the thing because it is suspected that animals have already settled in 😉.
Together with the Wettersteinhütte (1717m) I would like to end this misery. You can now test your bivouac equipment under almost real conditions on the hut site in an environmentally friendly manner and with a backup option (in extremely horrible weather) so that you are somewhat prepared in an emergency. In order to provide a suitable setting for the whole thing, we hike half of the Südwandsteig on the way to the Wettersteinhütte - if everything goes well, we also take the Gehrenspitze (2367m) with us (a total of approx. 1600 m in 2 days).
Of course, Beate and Hans cook us dinner and breakfast so that we can endure all of this 😉. If you don't have your own bivouac equipment, you can borrow one from me (bivouac bag or hammock, sleeping mat and tarp). If there is a bed available in the hut, it can be obtained on site for an additional fee. If you are interested in experiencing this exclusive offer, please contact me. The group size is limited to 6 people and takes place on the following dates (subject to change):
- Thursday 05.06. – Friday 06.06.2025
- Thursday 12.06. – Friday 13.06.2025
- Thursday 19.06. – Friday 20.06.2025
- Thursday 26.06. – Friday 27.06.2025
- Thursday 03.07. – Friday 04.07.2025
- Thursday 10.07. – Friday 11.07.2025
- Thursday 17.07. – Friday 18.07.2025
- Thursday 24.07. – Friday 25.07.2025
- Thursday 31.07. – Friday 01.08.2025
- Thursday 07.08. – Friday 08.08.2025
- Thursday 14.08. – Friday 15.08.2025
- Thursday 21.08. – Friday 22.08.2025
- Thursday 28.08. – Friday 29.08.2025
- Thursday 04.09. – Friday 05.09.2025
The tour is also ideal as a team building event for companies and clubs. For families or mountain enthusiasts with less fitness, there are 2 alternative routes to the hut (ascent approx. 500 m above sea level).

BIKE & HIKE TOURS ...
Many hiking destinations (huts/alpine pastures, passes, peaks) are hidden deep in the side valleys of the Wetterstein Mountains and the Karwendel. Cars are banned from driving in all of these valleys. The approach alone would be a day trip. To ensure that we have enough energy for the hiking destination, we travel to some destinations by bike or e-bike. The bike is a means to an end and only serves as a means of transport - the main focus is on the hike. Participants must be good at cycling and know the traffic rules.
Goals in particular deserve mention here
- Hinterau valley
- Gleirsch valley
- Karwendel valley
- Gais valley
Some moderately difficult peaks (excerpt) that can be reached by Bike and Hike: Hoher Gleirsch, Sunntigerspitze, Speckkarspitze, Mandlspitze, Vordere Brandjochspitze, Solstein, Erlspitze, Soiernspitze, Tajaköpfe, Stempeljochspitze...
Perfectly maintined bikes can be rented at Sport Norz (www.sport-norz.at)!
